Joining Hands with the Beijing Sport University Education Foundation in Supporting National Sportsmanship Development
In a heartfelt commitment to nurturing national sportsmanship and inspiring the dreams of young athletes, Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group joined forces with the Beijing Sport University Education Foundation, donating RMB120 million to establish the “Cheng Kar-Shun Champion Development Foundation” (the “Foundation”) . This initiative aims to cultivate elite sports talents, elevate competitive sports education at the Beijing Sport University, and strengthen youth training systems across a diverse range of sports disciplines.
Since 2022, the Foundation has already made a profound impact and honoured the dedication of over 700 student-athletes, coaches, and faculty members. It has also provided assistance to 5 university teams, enabling them to participate in 17 national and international-level competitions as a form of recognition and support. Additionally, the foundation awarded scholarships to 25 exceptional students from the Beijing Sport University who showcased their talents at the 2022 Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics, celebrating their achievements on the international stage. Moreover, we have rewarded athletes and supporting staff from the university with nearly RMB 15 million and produced 44 medals made entirely of pure 999 gold to honour their contributions to the 2022 Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics.
